Pediatric Chiropractic Care: Gentle, Nurturing Support for Your Little One
From their very first days, your child's body is growing and changing at an incredible pace. Whether it's the twists and compression of birth, learning to sit and crawl, or the tumbles of an active kid, little bodies handle a lot. The postpartum period gets a lot of attention — but babies and children are adjusting to the world right alongside their parents. At Serenity Family Chiropractic, we provide a calm, welcoming space where children feel safe and parents feel heard. Whether your little one is a few days, a few months, or a few years old, gentle chiropractic care can support their comfort and healthy development. Children's spines and nervous systems are still developing, and everyday stresses can affect how comfortably they move and rest. Gentle chiropractic care helps restore balance and support proper alignment, so your child's body can grow, move, and feel its best

Pediatric chiropractic FAQ
Yes. Pediatric chiropractic care is gentle and specifically adapted for a child's size and stage. For infants, adjustments use only light fingertip pressure — about the amount you'd use to check the ripeness of a tomato. Dr. Erica Juris tailors every visit to your child's age, comfort, and needs, always working within their comfort level and yours.
It's much gentler than you might imagine. There's no forceful twisting or "cracking" like you may associate with adult chiropractic. For babies and young children, Dr. Erica uses light fingertip pressure on specific spots along the spine or the base of the skull, gentle enough that it often doesn't disturb a sleeping baby. Little ones can be adjusted while they're being held, feeding, or napping. For older kids, adjustments are a bit more involved but still quick, gentle, and tailored to what feels comfortable for them — most find it soothing, and plenty look forward to coming back
There's no minimum age. Many babies are checked within their first days or weeks, and care is always matched to their size and stage — feather-light fingertip pressure for newborns and infants, and a bit more for older, active kids, but always gentle and comfortable. If you're unsure whether it's the right time for your child, you're welcome to reach out and ask.
Every child is different, so there's no one-size-fits-all plan. After the first visit and evaluation, Dr. Erica will talk through what she's noticing and suggest a simple, individualized approach. Some children come in for a specific concern and need only a short course of care; others benefit from occasional wellness visits as they grow. Your child's comfort and your goals set the pace.
